Nambu iron kettle is a traditional craft, which was developed in Hiraizumi, Oshu (currently Iwate Prefecture) around 900. The hot water made in the iron kettle contains lots of iron, which is important as a nutrient in making blood. Also, the water boiled in iron bottles or kettles removes substances, such as chalk. The hot water is kept warm and becomes mild and tasty. The basic pattern of a Nambu iron kettle has many protuberances.

Introduction about Nanbu iron kettle
Our product: Southern cast iron teapot kettle is a long traditional craftwork from 900 years, is created by Mr. Fujiwara who left a spectacular culture in Oshu Hiraizumi Iwate prefecture.
Southern cast iron teapot kettle is known widely for unique technology for cast iron processing and elegant shaping.
Hot water which boiled in cast iron teapot include important nutrient: IRON.
Since ancient times, Japanese people supplied Iron for the body not only by food but also by hot water or food cooked by iron kettle. Actually, the Iron (divalent iron) is more easily absorbed into the body than the iron which contained in the food.
In recent years, various materials are used to make cookware, therefore there’re tend to be lack of Iron. Lacking of Iron, it becomes easy to get tired and various symptoms such as anemia. Boiling water with iron kettle will help water harder to cool, hot water melts by itself and becomes more delicious.
Hot water becomes more delicious and good for health. That’s killing two birds with one stone.
Our cast iron teapot kettle is Suehiro type and has small size.
